Greatest Theme Park EVER

So I was watching a commercial for the Orlando Studios theme park and got the greatest idea ever! A theme park based on Broadway musicals! Phantom of the Opera boat ride. A dance every night for Footloose. Karaoke or rock show for Rock of Ages. A jungle ride for The Lion King. Random talent show pageants for Hairspray. A cruise for Anthing Goes. And then those virtual shooting games with muskets where you’re fighting the French National Guard for Les Miserables. There are many more to name, but there’s a few! Does that not sound epic? I would totally go! It would be called, “Musical Showland”, or maybe something less lame. Ready for their slogany motto thing? “Do you hear the people sing?” If someone could make it happen, I would love them forever and three days!

Why is everyone so sensitive to mental illnesses and disorders nowadays? Seriously? Some think they’re better than those who have one while others don’t want to accept that they may have one. Well let me tell you something! I don’t have just one, but quite a few! You see me functioning on a level where I am no better nor less than the next person! Yea, there are some who cannot do that, and it kills me to say that there are indeed some people who look down on them! What makes them so different from the next guy? Oh, and don’t you just love hearing about people, mainly who are bipolar or something similar, being referred to as psychos? That is not okie at ALL!! You people without disorders or illnesses may think you’re the lucky ones, but it is really those with disorders or illnesses who are the lucky ones! If you could just SEE through the eyes of one of them maybe you would think twice about what you call them or how you treat them. Maybe if you lived a day, struggling with whatever disorder or illness they have you would be able to understand why they do things the way they do! It’s not because they’re striving to be different! It’s because they have to! That’s the only way they know to do something! That’s the only way they’re comfortable with doing it! I remember when I was younger I thought only crazy people went to therapy! That is NOT true! And again with the words “crazy” and psycho”! Did you know that some people with mental illnesses and disorders take strong offense when they are used to refer to someone or their behaviors? In my opinion, when those words are used in that kind of context they’re just as bad as a racial slur! You know, those people may be different, but you are no grander than them! They are people just like you and I! They just want to belong, too! They want to know that there are people out there who don’t care about their illnesses and disorders, people who will accept them and treat them like they would treat anyone else! Seriously people, is that too much to ask?! We are no different than you! So treat us like it!

Had I been there today I might know how it feels to be to smitten with love so simple and awesome and pure! Had I been there today I might also have known how ridiculous love may seem at times, and because of love I know I am not all that sure!

I would like to point out that this girl right here is my hero, my role model! I want to be like her! She’s so talented and kind and caring! She has auditioned for Glee twice and even made it into the finals one of the times! This summer she will be competing in the Miss Iowa pageant! To make things even better, she even works backstage on BROADWAY!!! Maybe one day I’ll be able to somewhat follow her footsteps in my own little way! Until then, she will remain my inspiration to reach for the stars and never settle for less! She is living proof that a smalltown girl can be someone! And that is why I am so proud of my cousin, my role model, my hero! <3

Ruined My Evening

Has anyone else ever been so fricking bored that they begin to contemplate the meaning of life and stuff like that? Like you’ll just be chillin’ and minding your own business and whatnot, having a good time, and then you start thinking about why people die. You’ll be all like, “Yea, that was awesome! Well then again, not many things are awesome anymore, not since my dog died six years ago.” And then you start getting really depressed and emotional, but you can’t explain it! Like seriously, where the hell did it even come from? You’re all smiley and whatnot and then you’ve got this scowl on your face. I do not understand! Like right before I wrote this I was listening to Les Miserables and singing along up until Javert killed himself. Then I got sad and began to contemplate what life is really all about. I just ruined my own evening. Damn. Ugh! So dumb!

Don’t you just hate going to Wal-Mart with someone and they say they’re going to buy one thing and then pretty much buy the whole fricken Wal-Mart franchise? Yea, that happened to me….at 1:30 this morning. I was there until after 3. All my sister kept saying was, “We need one more thing!” She would walk down the aisle and then call for me to bring the cart! It took about 30 fricken minutes to check out. But the one thing I was thankful for…we only had 1 cart full over groceries instead of our usual 2 or 3.

As my friend reads my niece a story about a Princess Aurora riding a horse named Buttercup, she makes sure to pronounce the horse’s name like Prince Humperdink when he announces Buttercup’s name. This causes fits of laughter from me every time she says it. My niece asked her to stop saying it like that, and when my friend did it again I just imagined my niece standing up all like, “I’m done,” and walking away.
